The upcoming BYU basketball schedule was announced recently. Apparently the mtn has wised up and is going to broadcast all of BYU's conference games. Inexplicably, they have failed to pick up some some conference games in the past (BYU at Air Force last year), but then also refused to let BYU-TV air those games. Luckily this won't be a problem this year. However there are a few pre-season games that are not being picked up, for instance, Long Beach State is on Nov. 14. What else could the mtn be possibly showing on a Tuesday night? Luckily, the mtn is picking up the Wake Forest game. Hooray.
Speaking of big games, I wish Coach Rose would schedule more. Their only big games are against Wake and Arizona State. Hardly daunting. Why not schedule more teams like Gonzaga, Washington, Arizona, UCLA, etc. I think part of the reason BYU has failed to do well in the NCAA tournament is that they have failed to play in a lot of big games and they get overwhelmed when they get to the big dance. As a fan, it is really hard to get excited about Western Oregon and Idaho State.
